Francesco Baroncini, father, husband, daily cyclist. He joined Fiab at the beginning of the millennium, became involved in its activities and became its local councillor and then vice-president, and in this capacity he represented Fiab Firenze in the bodies of the national Fiab and was later appointed director of the national Fiab. He then left political office to become the administrative head of the national Fiab and remained so for six years. At the European level, he is one of the founders of the 'CEO's Group', i.e. the working group of directors of the main European cycling associations (Italy, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, Norway and Switzerland), which still exists today. After leaving the position of Fiab Director, he was elected to the board of ECF (European Cyclists' Federation) three years ago, where he still sits. In this capacity, he contributed to the drafting of the EU Declaration on Cycling, which was finally approved by EU bodies on 3 April.
