July 16 - October 9, 2020

In this unprecedented and challenging international scenario, the Pitti Connect platform has responded to the practical needs of the moment, anticipating the use of features and tools designed to be launched in January 2021, as an integration to the physical fairs.

With Pitti Connect, we have offered an innovative, effective resource with great potential. And during the summer edition of the Pitti Immagine fairs, we involved 543 brands.

Thanks to Pitti Connect, the fair has confirmed its position as an international reference point for kidswear and family lifestyle. On Pitti Connect, the Pitti Bimbo 91 exhibitors were also enhanced through The Billboard, a program of events, special projects, style itineraries, editorial insights, and talks.
Conceived as an online magazine, The Billboard has brought online the style and the rich content that have always distinguished the physical trade shows of Pitti Immagine. A unique experience in the panorama of contemporary digital platforms, also achieved thanks to the close collaboration with key players in children’s fashion, magazines, the media, and leading figures in the world of contemporary culture and the kids lifestyle.

Here are some of the most popular formats that have turned the spotlight on the Pitti Bimbo 91 brands.

"LET'S TALK":

video conversations to discuss fashion and imagine future scenarios, to understand how the relationship with customers has changed and identify the essential brand mix for the baby and teen wardrobe. The series of interviews with important players in the sector - top buyers, managers, business owners, and showrooms - was highly appreciated by the Pitti Bimbo community, reaching a total of 2,720 views.

Style itineraries:

To find a way around the new collections on Pitti Connect and describe the kidswear moods and trends for the 2021 summer and baby lifestyle, we presented 11 themed itineraries created together with stylists and specialized magazines. From "Must Have" (unmissable clothes and accessories selected by stylist Maria Giulia Pieroni), to "The Royal Room" (the English royal children's ideal wardrobe imagined by Linda McLean of Smudgetikka), up to "Emma and Gabriel's wardrobe" (special outfits chosen by Petra Barkhof, editor of Scimparello magazine). In total, 140 brands were involved, reaching 20 thousand views with peaks of 4 thousand clicks for a single itinerary.

Sections:

As in many virtual showrooms, Pitti Bimbo's different identities have been explored and looked into through the special pages dedicated to each section of the fair. Pitti Bimbo, Sport Generation, Superstreet, KidzFIZZ, Apartment, The Nest, EcoEthic, Fancy Room, recorded a total of 3,243 views.

Special Projects:

A rich program of special projects by fashion editors, designers, and also architects, psychologists, and professors, has turned Pitti Connect into a lively and engaging stage, offering insights aimed at professionals in the kids' world and original showcases that turned the spotlight on the exhibitor's collections. Among these, Fashion Comics and Fashion Carrousel, two projects by designer Alessandro Enriquez, have given a cartoon makeover to about 30 kidswear brands, recording over 3,500 views. The Playful Living, a series of talks that have traced the profile of the new children's store in the digital age, reached over 1,000 views. The Editorials, two lifestyle selections dedicated to concept stores - Funny Roars and And Here Comes the Rainbow - turned the spotlight on 71 brands with over 2,200 clicks. And finally, The Extraordinary Library, which told the story of a long-standing collaboration, the one between Pitti Immagine Bimbo and the Bologna Children's Book Fair.
