The designer Romina Cardillo of Nous Etudions is one of the protagonists of the series of video interviews dedicated to the designers of The Sustainable Style. One of the most interesting event-projects of Pitti Uomo 98: a special showcase on eco-sustainability, production ethics, esthetics, style and business which will focus the spotlight on thirteen designers + a special guest who have all embarked upon their own path towards responsible and sustainable fashion.
The video interview is conducted by Giorgia Cantarini, the fashion journalist and independent scouter curator of the project, and directed by Conor Gorman.
Semi-finalist of the LVMH Prize 2020, Romina Cardillo works with a mix of different textures, inspired by the designer’s birthplace, Argentina. Clean, geometric oversized shapes in neoprene, wrinkled tartan fabric and vegan leather harmonize with one another to create a series of genderless tailored garments, hand made with sustainable and cruelty-free practices. The garments are an exploration of new ways of revisiting the sartorial classics with a fresh eye. She also has a collaboration with Nike under her belt.
