KEY PIECES: A standout look from the collection is the indigo suit, which introduces their concept of the classic menswear suit mixed with workwear and military influences. The collection also shows a selection of Hawaiian print shirts in well-researched Italian fabrics.
We are of course constantly evolving and bringing new elements into our wardrobe, we keep mixing workwear, tailoring and military influence. This season, forced at home by the lockdown, it came naturally to explore a fresh idea of suit, more suited to our life, using supple breathable fabrics, and less formal silhouettes heavily influenced by workwear and military pieces.

— Luigi Fila, ALTEA

EDITOR NOTES:

Altea’s SS21 collection was designed on a concept of a flexible wardrobe, where one the same pants in one fabric can be matched with different tops of the same fabric, even across seasons, to encourage a smarter and more sustainable design and consumption. Furthermore, this collection focuses on natural fibers with a low environmental impact, pushing linen and lyocell. Altea also continues its tradition of research in artisanal garment treatments with their network of Italian suppliers.
