The Ethical Fashion Initiative (EFI) Accelerator programme presents five African designers: Jiamini (Kenya), Lukhanyo Mdingi (South Africa), Margaux Wong (Burundi), REIGN (South Africa), WUMAN (Nigeria).
These young creatives from all over the African continent were selected among over 250 applicants by an expert judging panel comprising United Arrows’ Hirofumi Kurino, Ethical Fashion Initiative's Susi Billingsley and Nollywood actress and activist Dakore Egbuson-Akande. The designers will feature in a special project during Pitti Immagine Uomo 99, in January 2021.

A flagship program of the International Trade Centre, a joint agency of the United Nations and the World Trade Organization, the Ethical Fashion Initiative has helped bring African fashion design to the world stage since 2013. Its accelerator programme targets existing fashion brands producing in Africa, who require additional support, to accelerate their business in the global marketplace.
