This season, accessories, leather goods and travel gear have resurfaced with a grand, celebratory entrance placing the focus on clean lines, bold design, and superlative quality. Amid the business and leisure accessory labels shining with the arrival of summer, Piquadro continues to serve as a timeless figurehead of stylish travel — this season, proudly showcasing a solid commitment to fully espousing sustainability, incorporating it in every facet of its design and production process.
Now, the 100th edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo is an opportunity for Piquadro to forcefully confirm the commitment it has towards sustainability — a commitment made over ten years ago through community work, and more recently addressed to protecting the environment with important strategic decisions.

The green strategy of the Bologna-based company starts off with the assessment of the environmental impact of its activities, provided in a sustainability report which has been drawn up on a regular basis for the last three years. The use of recycled materials and control of the supply chain have been imposed in the name of environmental protection, and in pursuit of energy-saving, CO2 emissions reduction, and the use of natural resources — and, naturally, direct actions in favor of the local region’s flourishing. The Pitti star of this season’s Piquadro collection is Corno alle Scale — a high performance bag and backpack line made with recycled technical materials, and the fruit of a wider project that Piquadro has engaged in to support the community and natural wealth of its mountains. The line takes its name from Corno alle Scale, the Apennines ski resort of the Bologna area on whose slopes apline skiing champion Alberto Tomba trained as a boy.
This season’s designs are reimagined Piquadro classic models, made using entirely new, innovative and sustainable fabrics such as fully recycled nylon directly obtained and repurposed from industrial waste. With a contemporary, minimal color palette, the Italian label’s latest collection fuses just the right amount of tradition, ethical values, and bold thinking.
