Doucal’s SS22 collection celebrates the timeless appeal of Italian legacy footwear

Few things are more effective signifiers of timeless elegance than a good pair of meticulously crafted shoes. Italian men’s footwear is globally famed for doing just that: mastering the art of understated luxury, whose immediate appeal is derived not from flashiness, but from painstaking attention to detail — a treat to the eye of a connoisseur.

Founded in 1973, Doucal’s has been a champion of luxuriously crafted men’s footwear for nearly five decades. The Italian brand was started by the Giannini family the city of Montegranaro, in Italy’s Marche region — the renowned cradle of Italian excellence in shoemaking. Since its inception, the label has evolved and grown to reach worldwide distribution, with two flagship in Milan and Paris.

For SS22, Doucal’s celebrates its classic staples by doubling down on the quality, technical intricacy and design finesse that have shaped the Italian label worldwide reputation.
“Today, it is superior quality, superior design and superior functionality that imbues a collection with value,” explains creative director Gianni Giannini, offering his interpretation of modern society's consumption patterns.
