Edizioni SemiRurali is the publishing project of Rete Semi Rurali ETS, an association that since 2007 has supported, facilitated and promoted contact, dialogue, exchange and sharing of information and initiatives among those who affirm the values of agricultural diversity. Since its creation, RSR has been working to bring about a diversification of current agricultural systems starting from seeds to diets, moving through processing, distribution and, first with the Agrobiodiversity Library (2021) and then with the Publishing Company, books as well.

The Edizioni SemiRurali project comes from the desire to pick up the legacy of some old Pentàgora jewels - a Ligurian reality directed until its closure by Massimo Angelini - and at the same time to start publishing texts consistent with the association's mission,  giving voice to those who have valuable experience or expertise for the community on the issues of rurality, biodiversity and the increasingly necessary agroecological transition. 

A challenge within a challenge, then, but also a way to reiterate the importance of culture and correct information in a world, such as the present one, in which there is a risk of losing sight of the value of skills, creativity and everyday actions.
