Brand Profile
Aboca Edizioni was established in Sansepolcro (Arezzo) with the aim of raising awareness about the themes that have distinguished the Aboca Group’s work for over 40 years. Its publishing house aims to promote topics concerning the environment, science, health, ecology and new development models, and has in recent years become a respected reference point in Italy for the study of the relationship between humans and nature.
In an era where there is a need to progress truly ecological and systemic thinking, Aboca has chosen to pursue quality research and a more profound understanding through its Human Ecology and International Lectures series. This series features the work of contemporary scientists, philosophers and big thinkers, who are able to offer a clear vision of the present, the changes that are taking place and prospects for the future. Alongside non-fiction and assorted publications, Aboca has also created a fiction series in 2019 entitled Il bosco degli scrittori (The Writers' Wood): novels and short stories that have allowed some of the most interesting and well-informed authors on the literary scene to describe the world, both their own and ours, starting from a tree. Since 2022, Aboca has also run Aboca Kids, an editorial project for young audiences, from preschoolers to young adults. Using drawings and illustrations, and with the help of well-established scientific authors, Aboca Kids books offer a perspective that is reliable, intriguing and rejects oversimplification. Finally, thanks to the research work of the staff at the Aboca Museum and the Bibliotheca Antiqua, the publishing house also engages in the publication of valuable historical works, facsimile reproductions of ancient medical and scientific manuscripts, Renaissance prints and precious documents from the past.
All Aboca publications are printed on FSC paper, which is environmentally friendly and supports local production supply chains.
