Please don't call them jams!
In 2011 Massimiliano Biaggioli - Mammo to his friends - founded his own farm in the Cimini Mountains, in Viterbo, to focus on growing his favorite fruit: the raspberry.
Massimiliano creates Lamponi dei Monti Cimini, a brand specializing in the artisanal processing of all parts of the raspberry plant. The fruit is processed into compote, flavored sugar and salt, and powder; while the leaves and stems, considered the "forgotten parts" of the plant, find new value in leaf herbal tea and Rubus Idaeus Gin, created by Priscilla Occhipinti, master distiller at Distilleria Nannoni.
In 2016, walking the road of innovation and sustainability, Massimiliano creates LAMPONELLA®, the ready-to-drink raspberry leaf herbal tea, a product that intends to revolutionize the way we think about the moment of herbal tea.
The experience gained in the processing of all parts of the raspberry allows Massimiliano to begin a new project in 2020: LAFRUTTA testifies to his passion for the artisanal processing of fruits and vegetables, carried out in a circular vision, in which there is no waste, only resources.
For LAFRUTTA 'everything from fruit is tasty', so they created jelly spreads from the syrups from the artisanal processing of candied fruit. There are 86 fruit, vegetable and herb gelly spreads: sweet, sour or spicy condiments to go with cheese, cured meats, grilled or boiled meats, raw or cooked fish, ice cream and dessert. Also, the assortment of classic candied citrus fruit has been enriched by 'brave candied", i.e. sweet and sour candied vegetables, which find their best synthesis in candied giardiniera.
