TiFaBeneBio is a family business, founded in 1977 by Mr. Giuseppe Povia. The production was converted to organic production in 2007, and in 2014 instead, it obtained recognition for gluten-free production. Always committed to the production of high quality food specialties, using only organic raw materials with the passion and commitment that have always distinguished them. Mr. Giuseppe has been a pastry chef for over 40 years and today his pastry art is aimed at everyone: food intolerant, those with specific dietary needs or simply those who believe that eating well is the rule and the pleasure of every day. Taste and health has become a mantra. It was easy to enclose all the strengths in a brand: TiFaBeneBio. A healthy, natural and organic diet without sacrificing the pleasure of the palate. TiFaBeneBio offers different product lines, many naturally gluten-free, resulting from the different passions of the founder. The line of almond sweets, for example, was born from the passion in transforming one of the land fruits of Puglia, into typical sweets called Marzapani. The same goes for the Apulian almonds covered with pure dark chocolate or the spreadable almond cream. The line of wholemeal biscuits prepared with cereal flakes and stone ground flours and high oleic sunflower oil occupies a prominent place.Mr. Giuseppe studied how to make cereals appetizing by transforming them into biscuits that are pleasant to the palate, crumbly and fragrant. The Apulian Tarallini are also prepared with extra virgin olive oil and the beloved special flours from the Italian chain such as Millet, Saraceno, Oats and Rice. It is a salty snack GOOD FOR EVERYONE, and not just for those who are intolerant to gluten. These peculiarities are fundamental for new consumers, who are more attentive and with specific needs due to food choices not necessarily dictated by intolerances. All these factors stimulate a pastry chef to study and revisit the classic recipe for a shortbread with butter. By replacing the wheat flour with rice flour alone, we were able to leave the identity of the classic gluttonous shortbread. Since 2017, the Povia family has been cultivating almond orchards directly, thus controlling the entire supply chain from flowering to processing. We are in the Alta Murgia National Park, at the foot of Castel del Monte, where hectares of almond groves alternate, prized cultivars with distinctive nutritional qualities: a high content in oil and polyunsaturated fatty acids, vitamin E, magnesium and an intense, balanced flavor , with final notes of butter. The almonds of the Povia family are grown with respect for biodiversity, using organic methods and thanks to this raw material, short chain products are offered: flavored salted almonds and almond creams.
