Among new exhibition spaces, debuts and important reentries, here is a quick recap of the events that are not to be missed at this edition in the Fortezza!

 

Herno and Herno Laminar will present their world and their AW2020/21 collections with an important new space of about 400 square meters at the Teatrino Lorenese.

 

Closed x Nigel Cabourn: the contemporary design brand Closed and the legendary British fashion designer Nigel Cabourn have combined their creative visions to create a joint collection for autumn / winter 2020. The naval inspired styles for men and women will be presented for the first time at Pitti Uomo 97.

 

German brand Falke, known for its high-quality legwear, socks and clothing, will celebrate its 125th anniversary with a special presentation at Pitti Uomo 97, honoring its heritage with a view to the future.

 

Sergio Rossi will participate for the first time to Pitti Uomo 97 for the global launch of the exclusive Sergio Rossi Uomo project, which will be presented in the Sprone Area of the Fortezza da Basso.

 

Arc’teryx Veilance (Canada), F/CE (Japan) and Rolf Ekroth (Finland) will be among the important brands participating at this Pitti Uomo in the I Go Out section.

 

Among the special presentations at Futuro Maschile: the return of Sealup, the leading “Rainwear” and “Outerwear” fashion brand entirely Made in Italy; and Côte & Ciel, the Parisian brand of bags, backpacks and accessories combining fashion and industrial design.

 

Karl Lagerfeld returns to Pitti Uomo with a “A Tribute to Karl: The White Shirt Project.”: the exhibition curated by Carine Roitfeld, Style Advisor of the fashion house, will feature a bespoke edition of the late designer’s iconic white shirt silhouette created by a group of artists, actors, models, designers and friends, including Cara Delevingne, Lewis Hamilton, Tommy Hilfiger, Sebastien Jondeau, Kate Moss and Takashi Murakami.

 

This edition of Pitti Uomo marks the return of HUNTER, the British heritage brand and famous for its iconic rain boots.

 

Luxury sportswear brand JET SET, founded in St. Moritz in 1969 and now under the creative direction of Michael Michalsky, will debut at Pitti Uomo with a space in the Monumental area.

 

Daoyuan Ding, the Chinese designer winner of the ITS - International Talent Support award, will debut at Pitti Uomo bringing his collection and creative talent to the Unconventional section.


 

MY WARDROBE: MAN OUTERWEAR TO INNOVATE WOOL CRAFTMANSHIP


At Pitti Uomo 97– with a special installation in the Central Pavilion – “MY WARDROBE: MAN OUTERWEAR TO INNOVATE WOOL CRAFTMANSHIP” will be unveiled: a project by The Woolmark Company, under the patronage of “Campaign For Wool - patron HRH Prince of Wales”, developed by students from Accademia Costume & Moda, with the collaboration of Maison Valentino and Dyloan Bond Factory. The project keywords are: Wool, Craftmanship, Innovation, Identity.
