Brand Profile
The Camplin brand was born in England as a historic brand that supplies the British Navy and has accompanied the Royal Navy in many naval missions and explorations. Over time it has secured the reputation of "PEACOAT INVENTOR" for making the first supply of peacoats to the Royal Navy. The distinctive signs of Camplin are recognizable in the use of green and blue grosgrain which is taken from the medal of the General Naval Service, (decoration granted to very few private companies able to accompany the Royal Navy in missions and extreme explorations). The legendary Cordage, used by all sailors for the great polar colds: their use was like an extension to join the two double-breasted buttons, when the many links worn did not allow their closure. Today it is a brand dedicated to outwear and the famous Camplin Peacoats are made with traditional materials and with modern techniques to make them light, water repellent and thermal. The company that produces Camplin is Italian, while the fabrics are both English and Italian.
