The upcoming Paris Olympics (from July 26 to August 11, 2024) will feature the debut of Breaking as a competitive sport. It was at Danzainfiera that the dance world got the chance to discover the discipline that will be the first from this sector to join the Olympic games. Breaking was in the spotlight over the three days of the event, with a series of activities that sparked great enthusiasm and widespread participation from many fans. The Olympic sport dance was also a highlight at the latest edition of Danzainfiera, with a series of events scheduled over the three days. Athlete Azzurra Alessandra Chillemi, also known as bgirl Alessandrina, shared her experience as a Breaking athlete, her preparation for the latest Olympic qualifications, and the opportunity to join the Fiamme Azzurre. Federal coaches Giuseppe Di Mauro and Edoardo Bernardini conducted two (sold out) lectures for the young attendees, showcasing the basics of Breaking and explaining how this dance is judged in the sporting context. Finally, it was time for the 1vs1 FIDS Battle: many dancers competed with their acrobatic moves to the music of DJ Lele, with bboy Lolo emerging as the winner of the Battle.
