The Balletto Lucano (BaLu) is a center of culture, education and diffusion of dance, based in Basilicata (Southern Italy).

BaLu is at Danzainfiera to present BaLu Pro, its program of advanced training and professional start-up courses, and Pollino Danza, an international dance festival immersed in nature which gives access to important scholarships and internships for academies and dance companies (19-30 July 2024, Episcopia, PZ).

Created in 2003, BaLu is today one of the most professional and cutting-edge training realities on the Italian dance scene, but also an inclusive place of creative development at the service of citizens and the territory.
The peculiarity of the Balletto Lucano and its company lies in the concept of “dance terroir”, a unique artistic language that uses the local architectonic and natural heritage as raw a material and as a stage, while at the same time being able to communicate universally through the body and movement.
