A.I.D.A.F. - Italian Association of Dance Training Activities
The A.I.D.A.F. Italian Association of Dance Training Activities, was established in 1999 within the General Italian Association of Entertainment - A.G.I.S., and is one of the founding members of FEDERVIVO.
The mission of the A.I.D.A.F. it is the protection and enhancement of training, understood as qualification of the profession of dance teacher, reorganization of private dance schools and diffusion of dance culture.
Furthermore, the association aims to express and represent the interests, needs, problems and requests of the dance training sector in all local, national and international forums, in collaboration with national and international public and private institutions.
Further purpose of A.I.D.A.F. is to carry out research, collection and processing of data relating to the sector of dance training, organize conferences, conventions, seminars and publications.
The A.I.D.A.F. supports members in addressing issues relating to the dance training and teaching sector and assists them in the management and organization of their activities, and creates a "network" among them to strengthen and coordinate their activities.
The Association also has social issues at heart and promotes awareness campaigns on issues such as violence against women and health-related problems such as anorexia and bulimia...

Dance training in Italy and the Entertainment Code 
In recent years AIDAF has strongly supported with the institutions the need, after 50 years of regulatory vacuum, for regulation of dance teaching in private schools.
The role of the dance teacher in Italy has so far never been recognized, and there is no path established by the State to become a teacher.
The solution indicated by AIDAF is to give life to the reform of the sector with the implementation of Law no. 175/2017, which finally provides for the regulation and professionalization of the figure of the dance teacher through the establishment of a title recognized by the State throughout the national territory, without which it will no longer be possible to teach dance in private schools.

Finally, after many discussions with the government, with which we are working closely for this purpose, we know that this historic result will be achieved by 2024.
