Brand Profile
MADOTI was born in 2020 from the childlike and creative mind of a mother and the expert hands of an artisan father.
Valentina graduated in 2015 in Product and Visual Communication Design and in 2018 in Systemic Design at the Polytechnic of Turin. Her master's degree training led her to design by placing man at the centre of the project. At the centre of the project there are children with their extreme need for freedom and their age of discovery.
Our collections are designed to amuse and follow the child's growth. Maximum attention is paid to the minimalist design of the products. We believe that children's design should be a “TIP TOE DESIGN”; the superfluous must be removed and the child must be put at the centre of the design process.
You have to be essential, remembering that children have an extreme need for simplicity, order and beauty.nOur products are not designed in a one-way direction but leave the child free to give endless interpretations.
Each of our products is handmade by Cristiano in Piedmont, in our small valley at the foot of the Monviso mountain.
We use local wood and PEFC certified plywood treated with natural oils.
Our fabrics are OEKO TEX and GOTS certified, and are also processed by upholsterers and craftsmen in our country.
We strongly believe in a transparent and sustainable supply chain, producing only on demand.
We have numerous collaborations with local carpentries, whose great craftsmanship we want to valorize in our valleys.
We believe that sustainability starts from the valorization of human labour.
