In the brand’s DNA and vision there are innovation and the constant research in technology, combined with a great attention to the evolution of trends, creating a product for everyone: democratic luxury, genderless and timeless, visible through the two collections Melissa and Mini Melissa.
The iconic scent makes it the only shoe to put first to the nose and then to the feet.
The technological evolution makes Melflex a soft plastic, full of colors and textures to accompany us in a fantastic world of creativity, in harmony with Brazilian culture.
All connected by one great commitment that is sustainability, a fundamental pillar in all our processes on which we have started to invest since the 80s, being able to arrive today to guarantee:
1. 100% of the water treated and reused, saving the 31% in the last 5 years, the equivalent of 161 Olympic swimming pools
2. Energy production through solar panels, avoiding the emission of 992 tons of CO2 per year and with a reduction of 13% in energy consumption in 5 years, which make Grendene the largest industry in South America for investment in green energy
3. Thousands of trees planted near the plants to regulate temperature and humidity and absorb emissions
4. 100% recyclable and reusable products; more and more as a future goal!
40 years ago was born the first Melissa “jelly shoe”, which today is called Melissa Possession.
A pioneer in the field, this style becomes part of history, culture and lifestyle, making it one of the best-selling and recognizable shoes in the world.
Brands like Gucci and Cèline honoured us revisiting it.
