Eloise Mavian was born in Venice, to an Armenian father and Bulgarian mother. Her father ran a camera shop in Piazza San Marco, so she was surrounded by photography from a young age. She studied visual arts at university, then specialized in cinematography in Madrid. When she discovered the world of fixed gear races and participated in her first Milano-Sanremo, she fell completely in love with cycling. Growing up immersed in Venice's artistic scene profoundly influenced her approach to work, inspiring her to always seek to capture the beauty in cycling photography.
